Do you שָׁחָה (worship) the same God I do?

t f

Sure, we may sing

the same songs and hymns . . .

We may attend

the same congregation . . .

Maybe we attend our congregations

on the same day . . .

Then again,

maybe we don’t . . .

We may genuinely

like each other . . .

We may even look forward

to seeing each other . . .

We may banter

about doctrine . . .

We may agree

on fundamental principles . . .

But none of this is שָׁחָה.

None of this is shāchāh.

This is tradition . . .

This is fellowship . . .

This is doctrine . . .

To worship – shāchāh – is to bow down – to prostrate

We may raise Holy hands,

but do we bow down on Holy knees?

a question begs

to be asked:

Do you שָׁחָה (worship) the same God I do?

We shall see . . .

  • Sola fide (Faith “alone”)?

Even though we were created for a life

of good deeds

prepared by God

in advance?

Ephesians 2:10 (CJB)

10 For we are of God’s making,

created in union with the Messiah Yeshua

for a life of good actions

already prepared by God for us to do.

Even though we will be judged

by our deeds –

whether they were –

Yochanan (John) 5:28-29 (CJB)

28 Don’t be surprised at this;

because the time is coming

when all who are in the grave

will hear his voice 29 and come out —

those who have done good

to a resurrection of life,

those who have done evil

to a resurrection of judgment.

Even though trust

without actions

is dead?

Ya’akov (Jacob: aka James) 2:14-17 (CJB)

14 What good is it, my brothers,

if someone

to have faith

but has no actions to prove it?

Is such “faith” able to save him?

15 Suppose a brother or sister

is without clothes and daily food, 16 and someone says to him,

Shalom! Keep warm and eat hearty!”

without giving him what he needs,

what good does it do?

17 Thus, faith by itself,

unaccompanied by actions,

is dead.

Do we?

Do you?

Do we שָׁחָה (worship) the same God?

Do you שָׁחָה (worship) the same God I do?

The German inserted

a word –

he wanted to burn

the other ones, . . .

They didn’t fit –

there was no

intersection allowed

lets make a L-O-N-G list

to keep

short . . .

Chist-o-(is it really)logical?!?

  • Adoptionism
  • Apollinarism
  • Arianism
  • Docetism?
  • Luciferian?
  • Macedonian?
  • Melchisedechian?
  • Monarchianism?
  • Monophysitism?
  • Nestorianism?
  • Patripassiamism?
  • Psilanthropism?

Sycretism? Gnostics + the “ism”

  • Manichaeism?

B O R I N G !     right?

If there is

NEW under the

sun . . .

  • Drunken laughter?

  • Supersessionism?
  • Name it claim it?
  • Health and Wealth?

  • Manifest Sons of Destiny?
  • Seeker Sensitive?
  • Glory clouds?
  • Toking the Ghost?
  • Snorting lines of scripture?
  • Relativism?
  • Kicking a woman in the face with a biker boot . . . to heal her?!?
  • Joel’s Army?
  • We are all “little gods”?
  • All paths lead . . . .

Do you think

that these things

are okay?

If so,

This is where

our intersections –

yours and mine

start becoming

dichotomies . . .

Do you שָׁחָה (worship) the same God I do?

Can a believer love worldly things? Secular things?

1 Yochanan (John) 2:15-16 (CJB)

15 Do not love the world

or the things of the world.

If someone loves the world,

then love for the Father is not in him;

16 because all the things of the world —

the desires of the old nature,

the desires of the eyes,

and the pretensions of life —

are not from the Father but from the world.

So do you?

Do you follow this COMMAND?

If you don’t . . .

Do you שָׁחָה (worship) the same God I do?

Do your actions

what you mouth

If the purpose of us . . .

of being created –

is to worship

and to serve

then . . .

Do YOU prostrate yourself

at the football game –

at the concert –

at the party –

Are your secular endeavors

So, I will ask

again . . .

Do you שָׁחָה (worship) the same God I do?

I know . . .

I know . . .

John 14:24 (the answer in part)

24 Someone who doesn’t love me

doesn’t keep my words  . . .

and since love

is the key,

I bow

down . . .

About Even If Ministries

Dani'el 3:17-18 (CJB) 17 Your majesty, if our God, whom we serve, is able to save us, he will save us from the blazing hot furnace and from your power. 18 But even if he doesn’t, we want you to know, your majesty, that we will neither serve your gods nor worship the gold statue which you have set up.”
