The First Fridays Worship Music OPEN MIC is now mobile and has been for 3 months! Formerly held at The Way of Life congregation downtown , now that we are mobile, we are setting up in host congregations all over Kansas City from this point on.
Our first mobile stop was Friday May 3rd sponsored and hosted by the Peaches and 1st Baptist Olathe – We had many new musicians play for the first time at this one – it was lot of fun worshiping our Lord together!
On Friday June 7th, we were sponsored and hosted by David Lin of 9th Hour and Grace Community Church in Smithville. Again, a lot of new people and some amazing worship of our KING!!!
Our next stop and sponsor? Friday August 2nd with Connie Whitlock and AZ-U-R Church in Lee’s Summit! If you have heard about King Cat Christian Music, then you already know Connie and won’t want to miss this!
First Fridays are a wonderful time of worship! Nothing fancy – just a bunch of talented musicians lifting Him up in adoration . . .
The simple 2 part philosophy of this ministry is . . .
Psalm 133:1 (NASB)
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity!
Ephesians 2:14 (AMP)
14 For He is [Himself] our peace (our bond of unity and harmony). He has made us both [Jew and Gentile] one [body], and has broken down (destroyed, abolished) the hostile dividing wall between us,
These two verses are our goals because they apply directly to the answer of the “tough question” Yeshua (Jesus) was asked in an attempt to trap him . . . the one where He replied:
“Love the Lord God with all your heart, soul, and strength!”
“Love your neighbor as yourself!”
These are the most important commands!
We worship together with this in mind and close to our hearts so that we may make a joyful noise in unison to our wonderful Creator! So, bring your instrument (we have drums so no need to bring those), bring a friend, bring someone that doesn’t know the King we serve!
Directions to the Open Mic on Friday August 2nd:

See ya there!
We open every Open Mic with Hinei Ma Tov and end every Open Mic with How Great is our God – we try to get everyone that played to come up together and we do How Great is our God – it is often sung in multiple languages such as English, Hebrew, Arabic, and Spanish:
How Great is our God – World version
How Great is our God – Hebrew version
Hinei Ma Tov – Behold How Good (starts at :29)
